• When most people think of Santa Cruz beaches, they instantly think of Main Beach, whether they know its name or not. Main Beach takes up a prime piece of real estate right in front of the iconic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and next to the Santa Cruz Wharf. Because of its quick and easy location, many go from boardwalk to beach and back again without ever changing out of the bathing suits.
  
  This is a great beach for families with little ones as the waves never get too high, except in bad weather, and there's plenty of space to build sand castles and bury dad in the sand.
