- Canyon Road is an art lover's mecca, and one of the most beautiful strolls in Santa Fe. All that walking will make you hungry, and fortunately there are several places right on Canyon Road or nearby that can provide everything from a snack to a gourmet meal. The Compound and Geronimo are two of Santa Fe's best restaurants and are top picks for a epicurean dining experience. Cafe des Artistes offers a wonderful sandwich at a good price, as well as drinks. Downtown Subscription, just off of Canyon Road, is a favorite local hangout that serves sandwiches and pastries, coffee, tea and a great magazine rack. The Teahouse at the end of Canyon Road is an intimate local shop that takes its tea seriously. Fuego and Bistro 315 are a stroll from Canyon Road, but two of the best restaurants in the vicinity to round out our list.
