The classic pueblo-style hotel right on the Plaza, La Fonda is known as the "inn at the end of the Trail," for its location at the terminus of the Old Santa Fe Trail. Its rooms are smallish but charming, and the hotel is steeped in history. Great views of downtown from the rooftop bar, and fun live two-stepping music in the bar most nights.

- Built on the corner of the Plaza in 1922, this Spanish pueblo-style hotel has had quite a colorful history. A historic landmark, this was a Harvey House until the late 1960s. It now offers modern amenities among the ghosts of history. The entire hotel is furnished with handcrafted furniture and adorned with local artwork. The guestrooms are spacious and feature individual accents like tile tables, hardwood floors and southwestern style furniture.

Great location on the plaza, wonderful ambiance. The true Santa Fe experience! The restaurant was great, the bell service and concierge stink, but the desk and hotel make it worthwhile....
