Territorial Inn and Spa

• This inn, just 2 blocks from the plaza and 1 block from the new convention center, offers sweetly appointed rooms at a good price. It was formerly located in a lovely Territorial-style building next door, but -- who knows why -- they moved into a 1960s building that fronts Marcy Street. The hallways are a bit dark and the rooms themselves don't offer much outdoor light, but they do offer plenty of space with some antique furnishings, all decorated in calming earth tones. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, and some are suites with two full bedrooms, great for travelers who like their own space. Guests enjoy an extended continental breakfast in a common area at the inn's center. The spa upstairs has a down-home style, with hardwood floors, a low ceiling, and a hot tub under a skylight.
