    If you want to dine like a local, head to Harry's, where everyone knows everyone else. The menu is creative comfort food—fried chicken, small-plate pizzas, and fish and chips—with inventive weekly specials. Great for brunch, lunch, and dinner, you may have to wait for a table—especially if you want one out back, in the shady garden—but it's more than worth it. One of the best margaritas in town.

    • Harry's Roadhouse is a New Mexican eatery situated off the beaten path in Santa Fe. The most popular spots in this place are the sunny back patio that is surrounded by flowers, and the chatty bar area. Food is served with a Southwestern twist. Try the Smoked Chicken Nachos, a hefty pile of chips topped with smoke-infused bits of chicken, cheese, guacamole, black beans, chives, jalapenos, sour cream and fresh, chunky salsa. The bar is open noon-10 or 11 p.m.
