- This charming and cozy little hotel in Santa Monica is close to the beach (only about a block) and is a perfect retreat whether you are from out of town or an Angeleno looking for a quick getaway. Many of the rooms at the Bayside Hotel overlook the ocean and all of the rooms feature kitchenettes. This is a great hideaway: go for the weekend, take some food to cook, and pretend the outside world does not exist. Except for the ocean, of course.
