• This avenue is ideal for a lazy afternoon, with amazing views over the bay and 30000 square meters of gardens along its two kilometer length. It is the most picturesque and direct way to get from the city center out to the beaches of El Sardinero. The avenue is divided into two sections; the first runs from Cuesta del Gas to Magdalena Peninsula. Los Peligros and La Magdalena beaches, Los Poetas gardens and Santander's classiest suburb (home to the Hotel Real) are along this stretch. The second part of the avenue continues from La Magdalena beach to Plaza de Italia beside the Gran Casino.
