The Best of NileGuide
-
Travelers to Santiago can choose from the most economical hostels around Barrio Brasil and Bellavista, to posh uptown digs of the five star variety up in Las Condes and everything (and everywhere) in between. Choose a neighborhood as a home base and you're sure to find something to suit your taste, and nearly every place halfway decent has good (free) Wifi, for all your communication needs. Need an English-speaking staff? They've got that, too.
Generally speaking, you'll get what you pay for. Short visits by budget travelers will find them in hostels and one-star hotels, whereas long-term visitors may wish to choose Aparthotels, which are independent furnished apartments, and business travelers will mostly choose international chains. Independent money-is-no-object seekers will find a couple of unique boutique hotels, such as The Aubrey in Bellavista, whereas low-budget travelers will stay at nearby hostels for less than 1/20th of the price.
