  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Even if you don't stay here, come up for some of Santiago's best restaurants which use the Hyatt as a base

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Stay here if you require luxury and a get-away-from-it-all feeling in the city.

    Description:

    • This sleek and ultramodern hotel, one of the Hyatt's flagship models is a popular choice among upscale and business travelers. The entry is into a giant atrium, backed by a waterfall which flows into a pool. The downstairs has comfortable spaces to sit, with large couches and chairs around intimate spaces with coffee tables, and the vast atrium looms over head up to the 24th floor.

The palm-surrounded swimming pool with its comfortable wooden chaise lounges never fills to capacity, and provides a peaceful place to forget you're in the city for a moment. The waterfall drowns out any nearby ambient noise.

Rooms have great views of the mountains or of the city below, and are outfitted with posture-perfect beds and all the latest amenities, and those staying at the hotel can enjoy breakfast or a pre-dinner cocktail in the 16th floor lounge with a view of the city and parma-style ham and smoked salmon along with a good wine pairing.

The only downside of this hotel for people who like to travel independently is the slightly inconvenient location, which has you either walking to the mall for any small item you might have forgotten (though there are extensive offerings at the hotel shops) or taking a taxi out. A walk is possible, but confusing, and not entirely pleasant.
