- Café Colonia (in reference to the city of Cologne, in Germany) is in fact a tea shop, with traditional German pastry. Naturally they also serve the best coffee, and sandwiches in downtown Santiago. It is the perfect place to drop in for lunch (as they offer excellent quick but tasty and healthy lunches), or tea. I recommend you to visit Café Colonia after a sightseeing tour of the downtown monuments, such as the Catedral de Santiago (Cathedral of Santiago), the Iglesia and Museo de San Francisco (San Francisco Church and Museum of Colonial Art), the Museo de Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Museum), the Museo de Arte Precolombino (Museum of Precolombinian Art), and also some art cinema that can be enjoyed in the downtown area of the city.
