NileGuide Expert tip:

Come for lunch for nice cafe lunch offering including a quiche and salad. Top it off with the coffee of your choice, always accompanied by a little cookie or bombon.

Description:

Inside, Cafe Mosqueto has retro lamps, a wood-paneled interior and many interesting books on offer. Outside, it sits on a mostly pedestrian street, flanked by a number of plants, a small oasis of quiet in busy Santiago.

On offer, they have a variety of cafes of different regional origins, including Costa Rica and Colombia, and they make a mean cortado (like a tiny latte), but can also go modern with an americano or pretty much whatever you'd like. Food offerings include a gigantic melted cheese sandwich with oregano, a nice lunch special with quiche and a salad, and of course, a number of tasty deserts for afternoon tea (or any time).
