Colchagua Valley Full Day Private Wine Tour

  • Wine lovers rejoice! Spend the day touring the boutique vineyards of Chile and sampling Chilean wines on a full day private guided tour from Santiago. In the afternoon, there is the choice to continue with the wineries or a visit to the historic Colchagua Museum featuring pre-hispanic art and artifacts from the Chilean colonial period.

    Depart your Santiago hotel and drive along the Pan-American highway towards Colchagua, a fertile valley known for its boutique wineries. On arrival at the village of Santa Cruz you will be given your options for the day. Options include: Vina Casa Silva, Estampa, Jacques and Francois Lurton, Laura Hartwig, Montes, Mont Gras, Viu Manent or Vina Bisquertt. As different wineries are open on different days, the choice depends on the day of the tour. You'll tour the wineries followed by the chance to sample their products. A full visit to the wineries with a wine tasting is included.

    Following the wine tasting, lunch will be at Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza or a local restaurant. In the afternoon you can to visit a third winery or you may prefer to go to the Colchagua Museum. The museum houses one of the most important private collections of prehispanic art in Chile as well as an important display of artifacts from the Chilean colonial period.

    Following the last visit, you'll begin the two hour return trip to Santiago traveling once again through the fruit and vegetable producing area of the central valley.
