Description:

Huerto Hada Verde is the brainchild of Stephanie Holiman, a sociologist-turned-teacher-turned-organic gardener/educator. It's an urban garden where she and her team teach permaculture, guerilla gardening techniques like seedballs, urban garden planning, worm composting, soil improvement, greenhouse (polytunnel) construction, vertical spaces and more. They teach workshops weekly and accept volunteers throughout the week (coordinate in advance) and longer term. Volunteers have come from several countries, and the garden project has been featured in major news media in Chile.

Workshops are advertised on the website and you can sign up for an email. Private or small group classes may be arranged, and can be conducted in English or Spanish.
