Vila Olimpia: Sao Paulo

Technically located within the Itaim Bibi district, Vila Olimpia is considered a separate entity by most Paulistanos and has experienced rapid development since the 1990s. With Google, Yahoo and Microsoft having their Brazilian headquarters here, among other multinational firms, the area has become something of a South American Silicon Valley. By day, that is. After working hours, the neighborhood transforms into  the city's nightlife nerve center. Electronic music reigns here but with hundreds of bars, clubs and restaurants, almost any musical (or culinary) taste can be appeased. Climb the Torre-E (E-Tower) for a decent view of the urban surroundings.
