• NileGuide Expert tip:

Go a little before the sun sets and grab a table.

    Description:

    • Even if you aren't staying at the Unique, it is worth coming to Skye for lunch and dinner. Not only to experience this fantastic hotel, nicknamed "melancia" (watermelon) for its interesting shape, but also to enjoy the rooftop restaurant. The views of the São Paulo skyline are spectacular, and this modern lounge/restaurant serves up creative and innovative Brazilian cuisine. The menu constantly changes but a few of the recent dishes have included chicken breast with mushrooms, wasabi purée and ginger broth, and duck confit with a malbec and rucula risotto. For a more Asian twist there is a grilled salmon with yakisoba and a full sushi bar that serves up excellent sushi and sashimi. Desserts are more than worth splurging on. For a rich and creamy choice try the mascarpone mousse with guava compote and caramelized cashews or the pear pie with ginger and pistachios in a tangy tangerine sauce. In the evenings the lounge is one of the city's hot spots and a popular celebrity hang out. The restaurant only accepts reservations for hotel guests.
