Description:

• "At Matilha all are welcome, including humans," the cultural center's motto states. And indeed, visitors are invited to bring their pets... or, perhaps, pets are invited to bring their owners... to enjoy Matilha's free programming in downtown São Paulo.
  
  Opened in 2009, Matilha Cultural incorporates social and environmental consciousness into its cultural agenda. The first floor features an art gallery and cafe with vegetarian options and free internet access. A multimedia space on the second story hosts dance, theater and other exhibitions. The third level houses a movie theater that shows independent films and documentaries.
