• Mount Bjelašnica can boast as being an Olympic mountain that hosted several Alpine skiing races during the 1984 Olympic Games in Sarajevo. Babin Dol, probably the most famous part and the most tourist-friendly site on the mountain offers great skiing slopes both challenging for the more experienced skiiers but also easy ones for those learning their first moves on the skies. The site is constantly developing and toursit can choose between various hotels and private apartments for their accomodation. Additionally there are several restuarants that offer great traditional and international food obtaining most of the ingredients from the local villages nearby. For non-skiiers there is a tennis court, a sledding slope, paragliding or hiking courses. Or you can simply enjoy the fresh mountain air. Furthermore, if you ever visit Mount Bjelašnica do not miss the chance to visit the nearby villages of Šabići, Sinanovići, Umoljani for an unforgettable experience of going back in time and witnessing the authentic mountain village life.
