Gecko's must be doing something right. A sports bar and neighborhood grill that serves lunch, dinner and a complete late night menu, Gecko's keep growing. The owners now have six locations in Sarasota and three in Bradenton. Open seven days a week, hours Monday through Saturday are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. and from noon to 2:00 a.m. on Sundays. Gecko's offers American pub meals and utilize satellite television and a collection of TV sets plus an excellent sound systems so you can view your favorite NFL and college football, basketball, baseball teams as well as NASCAR, hockey, golf, and even polo. If there is a downside, Gecko's can become a bit crowded and noisy when there are major sporting events to watch. The food ranges from good to excellent, especially their hamburgers. They also offer a variety of craft beers. Sarasota locations include Southside Village, 1930 Hillview Street; The Landings, 4870 S. Tamiami Trail; Palmer Crossing, Clark Road and Honore Avenue; Rusty Hook Tavern, 3824 Tuttle Avenue S; and Hurricane Mikes, 2639 Mall Drive, Red Barn Bar, 2058 Bee Ridge Road.
