• One of the first, and still one of the best kayaking outfits in the entire San Francisco Bay region, Sea Trek is handily located right in the heart of Sausalito's working waterfront. Tucked between boatbuilding operations and machine shops, Sea Trek has their own private sandy beach from which you can paddle straight into the heart of Richardson Bay. You don't need to show up with anything but your hands and a can-do spirit; they've got all the gear you need and their teachers are the real deal. An hour or two of instruction, and you'll be on your way. You can paddle independently or go with a guided group. One of the more spectacular outings you'll ever see offered is the "full moon paddle," which takes you out on the bay under the silver light of the moon. Recently, Sea Trek also began offering lessons and equipment for stand-up paddling (SUP), and this new craze is proving very popular. If you have teens, head out for a family SUP outing and they'll thank you for years to come.
