- This celebration in March originally began as an effort to attract performers and visitors to city. The Savannah Music Festival celebrates music and art at various venues throughout historic downtown Savannah. Featuring performances by gold-medal winners of international music competitions, the event also includes its own prestigious competition. In addition to the performances, cooperating organizations offer dozens of cultural events including concerts, workshops, lectures, juried art shows and gallery tours.
