  • Ah the old west. Well, it's not even the most western west, but it seems to have left of its rustic, desert vibe in Scottsdale before Los Angeles took over as the west of the west. While not being far from the bustle of Phoenix, which is great for getting around, Scottsdale is more of a get-a-way location than anything to do with business, and this reflects in their choices of hotels and places to stay. Stylish and heavily reliant on the outdoors-type, Scottsdale has hotels that range from resorts built in the 1920's, modernized country clubs that tout golfing or horseback-riding as the name of the game or the ranch-style quiet life that many city slickers strive for when the constant noise and commotion gets overwhelming. Scottsdale is a place for relaxing in the sun, and being in the vast desert-scape means you'll get just that.
