Seattle Baroque Orchestra

Seattle Baroque Orchestra - Seattle

  • Description:

    • One of Seattle's best alternative classical music groups, this chamber orchestra devotes itself to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries, performed with verve on period instruments. The sound they produce on their old-school gear is quieter than modern instruments but hauntingly plaintive. The orchestra often performs with the Tudor Choir and had a hit with a faithful production of Henry Purcell's early English opera, Dido and Aeneas. Performance locations vary, so call or check the Web site for the upcoming schedule.
