Mercer Island is a quiet community filled with gorgeous parks and surrounded by the beauty of Lake Washington. West on the bridge will take you to downtown Seattle, while heading east brings you to Bellevue, the latter of which is the best place to find accommodations near Mercer Island.
The Homestead Studio Suites Hotel and the Hotel Sierra Bellevue are both conveniently located right off I-90, which leads straight into Mercer Island. The Homestead offers suites with fully-equipped kitchens and is ideal for extended stays, while the Hotel Sierra offers both an indoor pool and whirlpool, an on-site market and free breakfast with a made-to-order omelette station. The Silver Cloud Inn is just a bit further down I-90 and offers free shuttle service locally.
Head north on 405 into Bellevue and you'll find a slew of excellent hotels surrounded by the shopping and restaurants of downtown. The Hilton, Sheraton and Courtyard by Marriott are each outstanding choices for those seeking a little luxury.
