  • While Seattle has plenty of historical sites to offer tourists, your hotel doesn't have to be one of them. If it's the latest, most modern hotels you're looking for in Seattle, we've got you covered from the ultra-urban to the high-tech.

The Hotel 1000 is known as the most wired hotel in the city; the best phrase to describe it might be "technological luxury." From the lobby's kiosks with email and airline check-in to the virtual golf club with 50 courses to choose from, this hotel brings quality service into the 21st century.

Even from a distance, the Hyatt at Olive 8 is just chic. This tall, glass, uber-modern hotel is in a great downtown location and is just as environmentally friendly as it is luxurious; it's actually Seattle's first certified LEED hotel.

Boutiques can be chic; just check out the Hotel Deca in the University District. Each room has a contemporary art deco motif and comes with a gas fireplace, South African honed slate tile baths and a flat screen TV. Looking for something closer to the downtown area? Try the modern, bookish Alexis or the artsy Hotel Max, which features over 350 paintings and photographs by emerging local artists. Hotel Andra is right on the edge of the retail district, an ideal place for the sophisticated with its Scandinavian decor.

For more brand-name modern hotels, the Four Seasons is as modern as it is classy. The Crowne Plaza is an excellent choice for business travelers looking for the latest hotels in Seattle, as it's ideally located next to the Seattle Convention Center.
