Top 10:

Pioneer Square - Seattle Hotels

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • As Seattle's historic district, this neighborhood offers enough sights, sounds and grub to take up your entire trip to the city. If Pioneer Square is where you want to be, there are several hotels from cheap to classy in and around the area.

Such as the aptly named Best Western Pioneer Square, an affordable, comfortable hotel with complimentary Belgian waffles for breakfast, a computer center and rooms equipped with wi-fi. Pioneer Square's Courtyard by Marriott is a stately, elegant building that also offers complimentary wi-fi throughout the hotel, as well as on-site laundry and business services.

The Doubletree Arctic club is a landmark hotel, historic and restored to luxurious perfection. If you're in town for a game, the Silver Cloud can't be beat - wake up hours before the game, have a cup of coffee and point and laugh at the traffic fighting to get to the stadium that's just a few steps from your front door.

If the Waterfront is on on your "to do in Seattle" list along with Pioneer Square, check out the rustic yet luxurious Edgewater, located on the south side of the Waterfront and just a few blocks from Pioneer Square. For those on a serious budget, the American Hotel (by Hostelling International) is located in Chinatown a few blows north of Pioneer Square and offers both private and dorm-style rooms.

Get the best of both worlds by parking yourself between downtown Seattle and Pioneer Square at the Inn at Harbor Steps. Other options include the bookish, classy Alexis boutique hotel and the uber-wired high-tech Hotel 1000, both on 1st Avenue just north of Pioneer Square.
