West Seattle
Alki in West Seattle, one of the first settlements in the Northwest, offers the best view of the Seattle skyline and gorgeous sunsets. Bicyclers, walkers, and joggers stream past the barbecues, volleyball games and the kids building sandcastles down on the beach. The neighborhood itself has a decidedly California feel, from the bungalow-style houses to the dozens of burger and pizza shacks along the water.
