From the moment you enter our quaint Italian restaurant, Assaggio Ristorante, the atmosphere is welcoming. The walls are painted with Michelangelo-inspired art & the place buzzes with convivial chatter. A great romantic restaurant for special occasions. Mauro is there with a smile, visiting each table to ensure satisfaction. The reason to come to Assaggio is the Italian food. A carefully composed menu of bold, robust central & northern Italian food has received accolades since Assaggio opened doors in 1993. Assaggio's chef shops each morning at the Pike Place Market for fresh fish & takes trips to Italy to stock his wine collection. The newest addition to Assaggio is a magnificent bar, Il Baretto. In rich brown wood, the bar brings life to this Belltown Italian restaurant. Assaggio's happy hour is $2 draft beer, $3 well drinks, $4 red or white wine & $5 bartender special.
