  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Linda has opened several great bars in Seattle, but this was her first. She pays special attention to the quality of her ingredients so even though you're enjoying inexpensive bar food, you can be sure that the beef is free range and the lettuce is organic. There is a wonderful selection of local microbrews and the staff are as interesting as the clientele.

  • Description:

    • Do not let the stuffed buffalo head or the other Wild West paraphernalia fool you. This ain't Texas. The atmosphere in this Capitol Hill neighborhood tavern is warm, casual, even trendy. DJs spin alternative records. Pitchers of microbrew flow freely, and the menu consists of Southern fare including Chicken Potpie, meatloaf and the beloved Chicken-Fried Steak. Despite the in-crowd feel, the people are inviting and friendly. You may have to wait in line to play pool on the one table. Also come for weekend brunch.
