Description:

  • While this north Belltown restaurant has a pretty dining room filled with an eclectic assortment of art, the real reason most people dine here is to spend time in the narrow little patio garden along one side of the restaurant. Hidden behind a high wall and accessed through a gate off Second Avenue, the tree-shaded patio feels like a secret garden on long summer evenings. Clientele tends toward the young and the hip and music can be a bit loud, but one glance over the eclectic menu should convince you that this place is a real find. The owner is from Jamaica, so be sure to try the plantain chips and the yams. Beyond that, just go with whatever region of the world strikes your fancy. There's edamame (fresh soy beans), Basque clams, five-spice duck breast, and grits. Get the picture? This menu is all over the map.
