Description:

  • One of the few dining places in Seattle serving Ethiopian cuisine exclusively, Meskel Restaurant is worth a visit for those who would like to sample an unusual meal. The name Meskel aptly represents Ethiopia as it is actually an annual religious holiday celebrated in the country in a big way. The homely feeling one gets here is not fabricated, one is actually dining in the former living-room of a house converted into the restaurant. Large open windows let in the light and fresh breeze, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. While the menu chiefly consists of meat preparations, vegans also have a good list to choose from. A favorite among students and young professionals, the place continues to excel for its rock-bottom meal prices.
