Description:
- Anderson/Watson Lakes Trail is an easy to strenuous 2.5 mile hike. This is a wonderful hike to high alpine lakes for the entire family. For the first mile, the trail winds gently through timber and into lush, open meadows. At 1 mile keep right at the junction. The spur that branches to the left is the Anderson Butte Trail #611.1. Continue on the main trail for 1 mile to a second trail junction at 4700 feet. To the left at the second junction lie the two Watson Lakes and to the right are the series of Anderson Lakes. The trail to Watson Lakes enters the Noisy Diobsud Wilderness. Both lake areas offer spectacular views of Bacon Peak and are notoriously buggy in summer. Historically, fishing has been good at both lakes.
