Description:

  • Known as the Seafirst Gallery until Bank of America acquired Seafirst in a merger, this gallery has refused, rather remarkably, to be a display case for corporate art. Instead, the Columbia Tower venue works with community organizations to produce sensitive, wide-ranging group shows, such as a baseball-themed exhibition focused around the opening of Safeco Field, or an assertive collection of work by deaf artists. The gallery does not conduct art sales, but is happy to put interested viewers in touch with artists.
