- Operated by the Washington Zoological Society, this zoo is dedicated to the care of threatened and endangered species. You will find many unique creatures here, including the Formosa Sika, the Red-ruffed Lemur and the Hawaiian Nene Goose. And, of course, you'll see the Cougar, for which the zoo is named. General admission hours are limited, but lectures, outreach programs and camps all occur outside regular hours. Admission is USD8.50 for adults, USD7 for seniors, USD6 for children 2-12, and free for children under two and zoo members.
