Elliott Brown Gallery - Seattle

  • Description:

    • Kate Elliott opened this gallery in 1993 to showcase Northwestern and international glass artists, from Richard Marquis to the Czech pair of Libensky and Brychtova. She named the gallery not for herself and some mysterious partner, but for Elliott Brown, her mentor in Chicago. Located an easy walk from downtown, the unprepossessing gallery still possesses a varied and extraordinary collection. The works displayed represent Elliott's passion for glass, her exquisite taste and her connections both to the nearby Pilchuck Glass School and to the shatterproof art-glass world.
