- The Fourth of July is a competitive day in Seattle. There are two major firework shows just a few miles from each other, this one and the one over Lake Union, and each viewer is loyal to his or her favorite. This Ivar's show, best viewed from Myrtle Edwards Park, explodes over Elliott Bay. (If you plan far enough in advance, you can make reservations for dinner at the Space Needle, right between the two events, and enjoy both shows from the revolving restaurant.)
