Description:
- This facility lies in the Paradise Area of the park along the Longmire - Paradise Road. This modern structure consists of windows along its main level, which provide a 360 degree vista of the surrounding terrain. On a clear day Mt. Rainier to the north as well as Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams to the south are visible.
Exhibits with in the Jackson Visitor Center include topics of natural and cultural history. Visitors will enjoy a 20-minute audiovisual presentation available regularly throughout summer. Other programs available on site include ranger-led talks and nature walks that begin at the visitor center. Check the daily listing for times and details on these programs.
This facility is open daily during the summer months with extended hours from July through August. Fall and spring brings limited hours. Depending on road conditions the Jackson Visitor Center may open on winter weekends.
