- Established in 1990, this small family-owned micro-brew business produces a number of local favorites including Flagship Red Ale, Clipper Gold Hefeweizen and Islander Pale Ale. Try these beers and others in Maritime Pacific Brewing Company, known as the Jolly Roger Taproom, which also serves a light menu. Call ahead to arrange a tour of the brewing operation. Tours are informal and offer a good look into the inner workings of a micro-brew operation. A small gift shop sells souvenir shirts, hats and trinkets. You can also order kegs to go.
