Description:

  • Lanham Lake is an easy (1.6 miles) and accessible (off Highway 2) day hike. An interesting phenomenon occurred at the lake in the fall of 1987 when it drained dry through a sinkhole. The lake has since recovered and always seems to be home to plenty of frogs! The midsection of the Lanham Lake Trail is an old road and the trail passes under a PowerLan. The route is open to hikers and bikers. No horses, please.
