- This short trail begins at the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort along Sol Duc River Road. The trail crosses the river immediately south of the resort and turns eastward. It ascends slightly above the southern river bank and crosses Mink Lake Creek within a mile of the trailhead. Continuing eastward the trail meets the river and parallels it to Sol Duc Falls on Canyon Creek. The trail crosses Canyon Creek and shortly afterward reaches its eastern terminus at the Deer Lake Trail.
