- Piers 62 and 63 in Seattle were the hosting grounds of the annual Summer Nights, a concert series. Although there was the occasional noise of passing ferries and trolleys while the concert was on, its mixing with the music created an unusual melody! Many other concerts also took place at the site, but for a greater portion of the year they made way for Seattle residents to walk along the waterfront. The piers have weakened by the onslaught of sea waves and are no longer used for loading and unloading of ships, but it still remains a landmark for the city. It opens daily at 6a.
