Sev Shoon Arts Center - Seattle

  • Description:

    • The curly metal sculptures hanging in the windows of this corner venue announce a wee arts center dedicated to printmaking in the Northwest. This is really a combination school and studio, with classes in all kinds of printmaking, including one on "collagraphy," the printing/mixed-media technique invented by mid-century Seattle artist Glen Alps. Alas, despite the wavering sculptures, the school doesn't offer sculpture courses.

The space is open to the public only during the Second Saturday Ballard Artswalk, but the studio's artists sometimes exhibit at Fine Impressions in Greenwood.
