Silver Lakes Trail

Description:

• The Silver Lakes Trail is approached via the Mt. Townsend Trail 15 miles northwest of Quilcene. The route to Silver Lakes begins 4 miles up the Townsend Trail above Camp Windy and continues for 2.5 miles further. Beyond the end of the trail, several paths lead around the upper and lower lakes. There are many areas for camping. Both lakes are periodically stocked with trout. The pass above the lake offers spectacular views of the Big Quilcene drainage and the alpine ridges beyond. Pack and saddle stock are permitted.
