The Living Legacy Trail - Seattle

  • Description:

    • The Living Legacy Trail features interpretive signs with historic photographs that tell and show how the Civilian Conservation Corps provided opportunities for many unemployed young men. You will also see a second growth forest which was planted by the CCC's and view the historic Hamma Hamma cabin which they built with native materials.

The first quarter mile of the trail has an "easy" difficulty rating and a maximum grade of five percent. The trail surface is gravel. The remaining one and a quarter miles have a difficulty level of "most difficult" due to narrow tread, steps, and 12% grades. A bench at the end of the "easy" section offers a nice spot to view the river.
