Description:
- This trail starts on an old dirt road behind a large metal sign frame, about 8 feet high. Walk up the road until you hit another trail and turn right. At .15 miles, the trail forks. Follow the right fork. At .18 miles, after partly climbing a ridge, follow a faint trail leading uphill. This is the trail! A short, steep climb finds you at the top of the butte. Vegetation abounds and if you walk to the clearest edge of the ridge, you have a nice view of the far landscape though you are looking at houses right below. If you're looking for an adventure, you might be able to find a way up to Lizard head, a formation east of the butte.
