Don't miss the scenic Fay Canyon arch, located north (or right)of this popular trail.

  • Description:

    • Fay Canyon Trail is a moderately easy but sometimes steep 1.1-mile trail that draws visitors eager to climb through the canyon's natural red rock arch. At the end of the trail, explore the small, lush canyon, where the walls and surrounding sandstone cliffs show evidence of prehistoric Indian ruins. This is an easily accessible hike and a good choice if you only have a few hours to explore Red Rock Country. From US 89A, drive south through Sedona to Dry Creek Road on the western side of town, turn north for three miles to the Boynton Canyon intersection. From there, turn left and drive the half mile to the Fay Canyon parking lot and trailhead.
