Description:
Located in the same area as the Westin Chosun, the Lotte Hotel is one of the city's largest hotels. Originally built in 1973, the second of the hotel's two towers was added later and connected by a tri-level mall. A world-class hotel, it is central to the financial district and convenient to the subway. Rooms are not huge, but they are more than serviceable. Unfortunately, surcharges seem to be added on for everything from use of the fitness center to Internet access. Still, the efficient and outgoing English-speaking staff is available 24 hours a day. Rooms were undergoing major renovations when I last visited the location, so I can't attest to the quality of the updates. However, at the time of writing, the rooms in the newer wing were more expensive but definitely of higher quality than those in the older wing.
