- One of the greatest traditions in Andalusia is to go to an open air cinema to enjoy the pleasant temperature of the summer nights. The commercial summer cinemas have practically all closed, so this activity now continues mainly thanks to public institutions. The University of Seville has done this for many years, dedicating its screens to classic films, on many occasions silent films. During May and June it runs a series of films based on different themes. The project, very successful amongst university students, has the collaboration of the Association of Writers and Filmmakers of Andalusia (ASECAN). The price of entrance is around 300 pesetas. This theatre opens at 7p from Tuesdays to Thursdays.
