Description:
Founded in 1999 near the Alameda de Hercules, and with a gay underground following of men from throughout the region, this is the most popular and most frequently visited "bear bar" in Andalusia, with a decor that's loaded with depictions of bears of all shapes and sizes. How does its well-traveled owner define a bear? As a mature man, preferably gay, who's comfortable with his size, his age, and his worldview, and who tries, at least, to make friends and play happily with others. Shadowy and permissive, this bar, to an increasing degree, has established itself as an icon on Seville's relatively limited gay bar scene. Beer costs 3€ ($4.80). Open Sunday to Thursday 10:30pm to 3am, Friday and Saturday 10:30pm to 4am.
