Description:
What is reported to be the best seafood tapas in town are served against a typically Sevillian, glazed-tile decor. Both the bar and the sidewalk tables are always filled to overflowing. The owner serves generous portions of clams marinara, fried squid, grilled shrimp, fried cod, and clams in béchamel sauce. About 5 blocks north of the cathedral, La Alicantina is open September to June daily from noon to midnight; July and August daily from 10:30am to 4pm and 8pm to 1am. Tapas range upward from 2€ ($3.20).
