Teatro de la Maestranza

Description:

  • It wasn't until the 1990s that Seville got its own opera house, but it quickly became one of the world's premier venues for operatic performances. Naturally, the focus is on works inspired by Seville itself, including Verdi's La Forza del Destino and Mozart's Marriage of Figaro. Jazz, classical music, and even the quintessentially Spanish zarzuelas (operettas) are also performed. The opera house can't be visited except during performances. Tickets (which vary in price, depending on the event staged) can be purchased daily 10am to 2pm and 6 to 9pm at the box office in front of the theater.
